Took off left skin I cleco'd on last night, re-checked frame straightness/plane. All still dead-on. Thought I'd just lay the right skin on top and call it a night (life got in the way - not much time). To my amazement, the blue lines were all visible with no "adjustments" of the frame. Figuring I couldn't let such an opportunity go to waste, I got out some clamps, and figured I'd put in a cleco or two just to keep things square. Well, those led to more and more, and after a few more, I decided I'd better re-cleco the left skin just to make sure I didn't pull that side of the frame out of alignment. Bingo - still straight on, so I tacked it in place, and ended up putting in all the cleco's on the top of the right side.
