A bunch of stuff and frustration.

Two weeks ago when we were rigging the wings, I noticed Bob eyeballing the toe-in, so I thought I'd measure it to be sure. My jack was broken, and you're supposed to check it weight-off-wheels, so I just kludged up a bunch of measurements. Bottom line is that I need to get 'em off the gear. Since I still have to fit the wheelpants, that will be a good opportunity, since you have to remove the wheels and brakes to get everything fitted just right anyway.

Next, I received new, longer, southco studs this week, so I test-fit to make sure it all fits well. They all do. Took some trial and error to get it done just right.

Hand-riveted the fuel filler door in place, as well as the lower cowl opening deflector angles.

Installed the southco receptacle on the "tab" that underlies the left cowl half between the oil sump cooler opening and the prop.

Test fit the correct southco stud to hold the fuel filler door closed.

Cut 3/8" 4130 tubes to length for use as a drill bushing for the new wing attach blocks. I obtained two different ID's - 1/4" and 5/16". These would not fit into the existing holes in the attach blocks, so I mounted them in my drillpress and used emory cloth to scuff off a few thousandths, the followed up with a scotchbrite pad to smooth things out. They fit well now.
