Trimmed about 5/16' more off the end of the intake. See results of two trim operations in the first pic below. This allowed the cowl to at least fit with the hinge pin inserted. However, the filter is still crammed right up onto the hinge pin; I know this won't pass inspection; cannot even get a piece of silicone in between to cushion it. Have written to Kerry to try and find out what else I can do.
There's not much left of the intake (see second pic). Am concerned about trimming more off of it. I might try filing down the fwd edge of the bottom of the filter; it's thick material, and is only hitting right on the fwd edge. That might help somewhat.
