Brief Description: Control Stick Assy / Rudder & Tail checkout
I've been thinking about taking the plunge and mounting the tail to the fuselage. This is mostly to allow early rigging of the rudder cables to the rudder pedals while the glareshield is off. Checked out the plans, referred to the horiz & vert stabs already on the table. Mounted the rudder to the vertical stabilizer, as I had earlier difficulties getting the hinge pin into place. With the help of my drill spinning the pin, plus a good but dull point on the pin, it went in relatively easily.
Checked out the control stick assemblies, and started sanding the grip mounts where it slides onto the control horn. Very tight fit; will have to sand some more. Most of the issue is with the powder coating on the parts.
