Not much time today; spent quite a bit of time studying plans sheets, going over the sequence I want to pursue for wrapping things up. Dug around in the parts boxes a bit. I thought I was going to have to fabricate the rudder cables, but it turns out they were in a different box, so that's one less step required.
Spent some time making the brake cable block that mounts on the motor mount. Plans say to make it from a 0.5 x 0.5 x 1.5" piece of aluminum. This general shape is not included with the kit. Some builders resort to using a phenolic block. Since I had some spare wing attach blocks left over from when I was messing those up, I cut one of them down to that size. Drilled the attachment hole and then the holes that the cables go into.
Also up-drilled the brake lever mounting bracket that fits on the underside of the flap control handle.
The intent was to remove the glareshield and get all the under-tank stuff done before mounting the shield. To attach the rudder cables to the rudder pedals, though, you have to have the rudder mounted in order to gauge the cable length required. This will be tougher, but not impossible, with the tank and glareshield mounted.
