Brief Description:  Aft Cabin Center Supports

Just for point of reference; in the manual reference, I call out two plans pages. SNX-F09 is the basic aft cabin installation details, whereas SNX-C07 contains updated details if you are going with the lowered seat option, which I am.

Tonight, I finished pilot drilling the forward center spacer between the two main channels. Then, I fitted the two SNX-F10-13 -L/R center channels, shown in picture 1 below. These are fitted a bit different from the standard seat Sonex in that instead of facing outward, the channel flanges face each other - tight. Further complicating things were at the 1/8" thick angles at the seat belt attach assembly at the aft of the cabin - the angles are not pilot-drilled; you must use the holes in the channels to locate the holes in the attach angles.

Fortunately, because of tight clearances between the idler pulley attach angles on the rear of the assy and the seat belt attach angles on the front, I had only riveted one of the two thick angles, so I was able to remove one side, drill it on the bench, then use the angle drill to drill the other channel in the cabin itself.

Then, I positioned the channels to align their centers (which I marked with a Sharpie) with the pilot holes in the lower cabin skin. This required a helper to view the alignment from the top (to look for the line) while I moved things around underneath. Located and pilot drilled both channels.
