Wierd day, attitude-wise. Just didn't feel like doing much; hot, humid, and a lot of yardwork, plus #1 son coming home for the weekend just kind of resulted in a poor attitude.
Anyway, I had previously fit the lower fwd fuse skin in place and pilot drilled it to the longerons and aft fuse. Today, I used the hole duplicator strap to drill the holes thru the lower skin into holes drilled by the builder-placement of various parts like the splice plates and fwd motor mounts.
I then located and pilot drilled the fwd lower crosstie and the fwd upper crosstie. I had to trim the ends of the upper crosstie in order to provide a 32" longeron-to-longeron spacing at the firewall. This took several attempts at trial fitting and refinement. For the lower crosstie, I had to use the strap hole duplicator again on the ends to ensure a match with the previously located motor mounts.
