Brief Description: Completed SNX-F16 / Tunnel Zee

Completed all parts for fwd and aft tunnel zee's, so that completes plans page SNX-F16.
First order of business was to drill the end attachment holes for the fwd tunnel zee; these will secure the zee to the side fuselage walls. Then, I located and drilled the 3/8 holes that will be used for the pins that center the wing spars when it comes time to rig the wings. Matched up perfectly against the similar holes in the aft zee.
Borrowed my neighbor's micro-stop countersink (1/4" x 120 deg), and countersunk the aft support. The flush rivet heads will be inside the spar tunnel to allow the spars to slide into place without interference. Had to remove the cutter head from the microstop cage to do the countersinking up against the flange of the aft support - the cage interfered. This slowed things down alot, since I had to manually / eyeball the depth of this row of holes. Measured each one. Pretty close to spot-on at 1/4". Also countersunk the aft vertical supports (the top holes in the pic below).
Was just going to use the Sonex Super Simple Dimple Die to dimple the zee skin, but noticed on the plans that the detail illustration said to "dimple INTO the countersink" (my emphasis). So, I cleco'd the zee skin to the aft support and the vertical supports, and used the dimple die thru both pieces. Came out quite nice, and didn't enlarge the rivet hole in the zee skin.
Next activity: mate the fwd fuse side panels to the aft fuse. This will be done upside down on saw horses. Guess the wife's car will be sitting outside for the next month or so....
