Brief Description:  Wrap-Up of Aft Fuse / Turtledeck

Had no activity yesterday - springtime weather with a large lot required a lot of weed trimming, edging, and mowing. Then, just as I was about to start Sonex work, my neighbor / CFI / RV-12 builder called to help me pour concrete for the foundation of his mini-paint booth he's building in his pasture. Since I'll be using this as well, I couldn't very well turn him down, now, could I?

Spent about one hour fixing things from the prior riveting activity. Completely removed #4 right t-deck former - the lower flange hole right next the the longeron was pulled away from the t-deck skin; was probably OK, but I wanted it tighter. Of course, I should have left well-enough alone; took me 4 tries to pull a rivet successfully due to tight quarters. Then, had to drill out and replace a rivet / adjust flange (same issue, but didn't have to remove former) on the #3 left former.

Once that was done, did the official wrap-up of the aft fuse / turtledeck. Flipped the assy upside down on the sawhorses. Fitted and torqued the AN525 hardware that goes thru the side skin, longeron, and turtledeck skin (see photo 1). This has to be done before the crosstie box is riveted.

Then, riveted the crosstie box.

Lastly, deburred the lower skin and cleco'd it to the fuselage assembly.
