Brief Description:  Horiz Stab Front / Rear Spars Riveted

Started out by riveting the front horiz stabilizer spar. Nothing special required there; pretty straightforward.

Next, positioned, clamped, drilled, and cleco'd the second SNX-T03-03 angle bracket that I received yesterday. (Was a kit shortage.) This bracket affixes to the horiz stab rear spar. After the angle was positioned, I up-drilled all holes to #30. Then took it all apart and deburred everything (2 angles, 2 channels, and the formed aluminum rear spar). Riveted horiz stab rear spar. Ran into some problems; most of the rivets were too closely spaced to the sides of the channel stock (as per design), so I used the trick of bending the rivet stem along with putting an angled spacer over the stem. Unfortunately, about 25 rivets pulled correctly, but the stems broke too high up (see photo 1 below). I'm going to peruse the SONEXTALK archives; I think I can just cut them off flush since the shop head was formed correctly. Being steel, they're a bit tough, though....
