Brief Description: Elevator Stop Adjust & Pushrod Assembly Built
Step 2: I used one of the two pushrod end bearings to install, determine spacers needed, and elevator stop adjustment. It required one AN960-10 and -10L per side to take up the slack. Bolted in and snug tight. Down elevator travel required approx 0.3 deg further adjustment only on the left elevator horn. Now a dead accurate 30 deg up / 25 deg down when against the stops. Step 3: Cut and drilled Pushrod tube to 73 inches and match-drilled the assembly with #32 drill bit (one end by hand and the other end on the drill press). Finished reamed with #30. Deburred, cleaned, scuffed. Pushed a clean rag with acetone on it down the middle of the tube to clean and remove drill residue.
