I decided to wait with the spar mating as I want to updrill the holes on a drill press but my little drill press is not up for the job, it does not have the stroke, I have contacted a friend with a bigger drill press who will come by some time soon and we'll do it then.
In the mean time I have started working on the forward ribs. The ribs I bought from the other builder have some good things and bad things about them, the good thing is that the guy who made them already made the ribs and gussets together on his CNC machine and has all the gusset holes punched in both the ribs and gussets with great precision, matching-hole technology! The gussets fit perfectly and only need to be clecoed in place. The bad thing is that he had not completed the ribs, for some reason the flanges on the forward lightening holes were not formed yet but the aft ones are, no big problem though, this is easily done using the flanging die. Another thing is that the flutes still need to be adjusted as the ribs aren't perfectly flat yet, again, this is easily done with my fluting pliers.
