With the plane now in the hangar I have not been updating my log the last couple of weeks but I still have been busy working on the plane, mainly trying to get that engine sorted. This is sort of a single log entry to make up for the work done over that period Anyway, after a lot of going backwards and forwards the engine was completely back together again today and ready to be hung on the plane, so my buddy Austin came over and helped me move it to the airport and then hang it on the plane. By about 4pm this afternoon it was back on and ready to run, after so many issues with this engine I was scared to try again but I would have to bite the bullet some time soon so I decided to give it a go. The engine was filled with oil, primed, filled up again and then the plane was pulled out of the hangar. I started the engine, success! It ran beautifully for about 3 and a half minutes today before I decided it was enough for the day and we should probably pack up before it gets dark (there is not much lighting in the hangar I'm currently in).
