After remaking the cable adjusters it was time to try and attach the cables to the pedals again. This time the left cable was able to reach the left adjuster so I marked the position, drilled and cut the adjuster then I installed it again. When I then followed the plans and centred the rudder & pedals to install the right cable it seemed the right adjuster still was 0.5" too short. I remade that one again and now it all worked out fine. Finally I removed the adjusters, cleaned and deburred them and gave them a coat of primer.
