After posting some pictures of my AeroCarb installation on the forums someone noted they are better installed in line with the engine so the fuel gets evenly distributed at the split of the intake manifold. I contacted Sonex to confirm this and they said generally yes but it depends on the manifold, it might work well the way I had it but no guarantee. Not a big deal to turn the carb 90 degrees so I might as well do that now, I cannot get it 100% straight in line with the engine as the mixture arm would contact the cowling outlets but I can get pretty close, within 5 degrees or so, that must be good enough. The issue I have now is that I already cut the mixture and throttle cables and housing for the installation I had. The mixture cable is still fine but the throttle cable is slightly shorter than I'd like so I've ordered a new one from Sonex, I'll have to wait until that gets here to install it.
