I completed the fuel vent line installation today. I had to wait for the 1/4" steel brake line I ordered earlier this week to complete this job. It arrived today. Installing the vent line was easy, it is attached to a fitting with a 1/4" rubber fuel hose and some aeroclamps. The vent line is clamped and attached to the firewall with 3/16" rivets. Normally these would be machine screws but for the reasons explained in my last entry I had to use pop rivets instead, this is not a structurally critical installation so it does not matter. I found some stainless steel 3/16" rivets at the local hardware store. Other than that my fuel system is now completely as per the Sonex plans. Many people deviate from the plans in this area.
