Brief Description: Fuel tank installation

I installed the fuel tank today.
First the glareshield was re-installed. The instructions say to rivet the glareshield first before installing the tank. I'm not 100% confident to do this yet, as I access to the firewall from the inside becomes so much harder after this. In theory all holes are drilled and cables, wires are in place, but you never know, I might have forgotten something. Anyway, all I did was install the 3 forward bolts, these would be impossible to reach from the inside to install the nuts with the tank in place, the rest of the glareshield is held in place with cleco's
After that I installed the tank. quite a job!
First you install the straps that hold the tank but don't link them up yet, just let them hang there, then you slide the tank in position and finally you link the straps together in the center using AN bolts
Sliding the tank in position is fairly easy as per the instructions, however, joining the straps is not!
It requires you dive in the aircraft head first so you end up upside down in the seat with your head below the tank, not easy, then pull the straps together and install the bolts.
I will need to re-install the forward bolt as I think it is too long and the strap hangs loose a bit. That will be a job for tomorrow.
