With my wing rigging issues resolved, today it was time to finally close up the spar tunnel and attach those aft vertical wing attach angles permanently. I was a bit worried about the flush rivets in the tunnel which have to be installed from the inside obviously. Luckily my trusty vintage PRG 410 hand rivet tool jest fitted in the tunnel, it's not the first time this tool has proven to fit in places no other tool will fit. Everything is not permanently riveted in place, only 6 rivets remain to be done, those solid AN rivets that need to be bucked flush on the top outer edges of the tunnel, 3 on each side. These are the only 6 rivets in the whole Sonex project for which you need proper solid riveting tools so I've contacted my RV building friends in the local SAAA chapter to come give me a hand with these.
