Brief Description: Installing the Flap and brake handles
Tonight I test fitted the flap and brake handle assemblies. I say “test fitted” because as soon as I had them on there I realised they could not stay on for now, the reason being that they will be seriously in the way when I go to drill the holes through the vertical side angles when rigging the wings, so I took them back off. One small issue here is that the pivot angle for the brake handle needs some trimming in order to install it (in my case anyway), All my measurements seem to be correct so I guess that’s just how it is. Now that I can’t do any more work on this, I guess there is nothing left to do but start working on the wings. I ordered the spar caps and wing hardware kit yesterday so I will have to wait a few weeks before I can start on the spars, but there are a few other parts of the wings I can still work on before that.
