After a weekend at Wisconsin Dells with the family I was able to work on the project for a couple hours Sunday evening. I finished up deburring the A-408 reinforcement plates and the aileron spars. I also clecoed the A406-1and A-407 aileron brackets in place and then match drilled them to #12 for the bolts that will attach them later. I then cleaned the parts with MEK and primed.
After everything was dry, I riveted the A-408's to the spars as well as the K-1000-3 plate nuts. This was tedious work and time consuming as I had to set up the squeezer with several different dies and adjust the counter sink for the plate nut holes. It doesn't look like I got much done for the time that it took.
Brackets and reinforcement plates riveted to spar.
