Tonight I pulled the blue protective plastic off the aileron skins. Tanner helped me match drill the stiffeners to the skins. I deburred and dimpled the L aileron and then stopped for the night. I caught a cold and felt like crap all day, but working in the shop sure beats watching the Bachelor!
Ailerons are the control surfaces on the outside (outboard), back (aft) part of the wing. They operate opposite of each other and cause the airplane to roll about its axis in the direction of flight with the left wing going down as the right is lifted up for example.
