Brief Description: Continued on L wing landing light mount
Tonight I continued on the left landing light mount. I drilled the holes and mounted the lens strips in place, but on the outside for location purposes only. After labeling them, I buffed off the rough edges with the scotch brite wheel and set them aside. Next I used the rib template with holes marked to transfer their location to the inboard and outboard ribs. I then used my right angle drill attachment to drill the two #30 holes in each rib.
The last two pictures show the mount temporarily set in place as viewed from the inside and outside of the wing. Everything looks pretty good and I should be ready to install the nut plates and lens when the hardware arrives.
