Brief Description:  Glass and Tie down

The goal today was to close out the winglet/wing and have this wing ready for filler. First, the rudder horn cavity was checked for proper cable clearances now that the glass had cured for sanding. Second, the trailing edge piece of ply was added. Then, the rudder stop was trimmed and sanded. Next, X-30 was added on the leading edge to fair the winglet into the wings leading edge. This is where the nav lights will be attached. I then moved on to layup 2 plies of BID over the underside of the rudder closing it out completely. Finally, I carved the x-30 and laid up 1 Ply of BID all over the exposed foam lapping 1" onto the wing. After this 1 ply cures 2 more plies will be added which is identical to the other wing.

To finish this section of my day, I used the left over flox to install the tie down point in the same manner as the other wing.
