Brief Description:  Final prep and paint

The Nose Hatch was tested tonight and operation is perfect! The Hinge worked as hoped! I added the final body filler where the hinge met the door, sanded everything to 220 grit, wiped down with acetone and prepped for paint. I started out by spraying 2 medium coats of satin black primer, then 1 Heavy coat of Hammered Black. Already I am very pleased with the results. The Black primer really deepens the hammered black. I'm a little dissapointed that I didn't get a perfect contour on the inside but MAN is it hard to do that on a concave surface and a shiny paint makes it stand out. I will be toning it down with a satin clear coat but Dang, this will be remembered when prepping to paint the outside of the airplane.

Note: Pic 3 is where I added 2 more Plies of BID in prep for the nutplates...coming soon
