Well the truth is, whoever built this canard is going to have a "coming to Jesus meeting" with me. The canard tips are far from identical and even 1/4" off from one another. The contoring and sanding left the leading edge uneven and the elevators aren't straight. The good news is that the construction weighs in what it should and is built sturdy so all these areas are easily fixable. The area of focus tonight is the trim tab that is connected to the torque tube. This tab was welded on wrong, causing me hours of frustration on setting up the trim system. I have decided to remove the trim tab, clean up all the aluminum and steal parts and re-bond them including all new rivets.
