Brief Description:  Throttle cable and console install

Very good times this evening. First things first. I MUST finish everything that HAS to be done inside the consoles because they are FINALLY being isntalled. Instead of leaving all of the conduit and fuel lines in flox, I wanted a little more insurance against failure of the flox due to vibration over time. And I also wanted a rigid assembly DURING cure which meant BID wouldn't cut it. I opted for something new. Aluminum foil tape over flox. The flox and tape should mate together on the "sticky" side enough to hold it all in position during future vibrations. It would take a lot of shaking for the tape to tear so I'm banking on it :) I then prepared the first of the 4 consoles for installation.
Step one was to spray black paint into any area that will be hard to paint when the hardware is installed. Then I installed the pitch trim wheel, chain and thottle quadrant. I used 2 nuts and locktite on the throttle side to ensure NEVER needing maintenance in the future. HOPEFULLY. I then tested each heated seat element to make sure all electronics were working well.
After plumbing the throttle cable, I spread flox along the border line of the console and carefully pressed it into position. I'm not totally sure that I will be adding BID, per plans yet as I have seen several installations without it. It would save time filling over the BID, but if structural integrity is in question then BID it will get. More research will need to be done. I hope to have the other consoles in tomorrow. The right side pilot console is at the upholster right now, being measured for the stick boots. :) I'll have to wait for that one. More later...
