Brief Description:  Order Finishing Kit

Probably should count a lot more hrs for this task but this was the time to fill out the order form, call Vans for a review, and confirm the details of the engine model, fuel system, prop, and mount.

There were weeks of reviewing, chatting, browsing the net, and talking to fellow EAA (#228) members. If I counted all that time, it would be about 40-60 hrs of research and 1.5 to actually fill out the form.

With an anticipated lead time of 8 weeks, I'll have time to work on plently of preparations, and make decisions on 100's of other components. The other major area of research is the avionics choices. Most of that is being firm in my mind, but I monitor the vendors for the latest changes to stay current.

There are many interrelated choices at this stage. The engine, prop, and intake all have to be determined before the Finishing Kit (cowl component) can be ordered. The nav lights and strobes must be decided to determine what wiring is needed for the wings. And, the question of an auto-pilot determines if servos need to be installed ...
