Brief Description:  Rollbar - brace & attach fitting

Re-reading the manual and discovered that I had one more task to complete before 'sealing up' the rollbar halves with those blind rivets. Although the brace cannot be rivited at this time, the fwd attach angles MUST be riveted while there is still access to the aft half of the rollbar.

I used a heavy piece of scrap for the fwd angle (.063) because it was handy. It's a small part and a little extra strength or wt is not a factor (will adjust the rivet length to compensate).

The aft attach angles are going to be a little tricky. The rivet (assembly) sequence will dictate the steps. (UPDATE - See 12.3.10 entries for detail. Re-fabricated aft end.)

There needs to be clearance for the plexiglas canopy and some rivets (or screw?) fasteners. It appears that the top baggage bulkhead panel will need to be trimmed slightly to clear the brace. The brackets (angles) appear to be ready for rivet to the brace but the EXACT location on the baggage bulkhead cannot be determined (canopy?). The fwd top skin must be riveted before anything blocks access at the top of the bulkhead.

Like learning chess for the first time, with your life on the line for the outcome.
