While working on the F-632 components, retrieved and reviewed the F-631 components and assembly details.
Located the F-631E reinforcing plates and marked out the rivet pattern for later drilling. The top and bottom rows of the rivets seem quite close to the edges. Will re-read specs for allowances on the distance to edge of material. [Update: Metal working info in the manuals from Avery Tools indicates that the min edge distance is 2x the rivet diameter.]
Identified a cut-out in the F-631A outboard bottom pieces. The drawing is unclear and missing a detail view that would clarify it. Will probably be obvious in doing a dry fit of the attachments.
Clearly identified the missing 1 1/4" .063 strap material - nowhere to be found. No word from previous owner and may have to re-order from Van's - as a 2nd owner, this is a risk of buying a kit 2nd-hand. [UPDATE: Found them in the fuselage hanging on the ceiling.]
