Brief Description:  Rudder pedals - re-install

Over 9 yrs ago, when starting my work on this kit, I trimmed the rudder control tubes to 'fit' in a manner that seemed correct. However, over time and experience it was apparent during rigging of the rudder range of mothon that the outboard ends of the Rt and Lt pedals were too far inboard, causing the rudder cables to worry against the gromments where the cable passes.

To adjust the point on the outboard pedal where the cable attached required trimming appox. 5/8th inch from the opposite ends of the control tube (horizontal section). This would result in one end being too short for the blocks on that side, and require extensions to the tubing.

I had a machinist turn-down sections of 4130 (.090 wall) 1" tubing, and sleeve that section into the control tubing. And then weld the joint. I then re-trimmed the ends for the supports to fit. The result is approx 1.25" MORE between the left/right pedals on each side of the controls, and centered cable in the grommets.
