More work on fabrication and prliminary anchor bracket install. Another difficult to layout, align and fabricate solution in the NON pre-punch experimental world.
The 5-pt crotch strap kit "RV-7/RV-9 Kit" and the instructions clearly illustraate the rib flanges on inboard and outboard are diametrimentally opposed. Both bent to adjacent bays, but not in the QB. So one edge of F-7117A/B must be trimmed to accomodate the interference with the rib flange. This also changes the location of the two nutplates on the seat pan screws.
The RV-6A rib arrangement also conflicts slightly with the opening in the seat pan for the strap. Had to adapt slot dimensions and layout. Used very sticky auto paint 3M tape and roughed out alignment, cut out seat pan, and anchored the alum angles on the aft portion of the pilot side. WIll sandwich a spacer between the F-7117A and B to establish space for belt and anchor to pass.
