Brief Description:  Part 2 of 3 - Details of F-632 components

Tech Support says the F-674 skin must be riveted through the F-632B angle. This is unclear by any of the drawings but the strongest (clearest) view of this requirement is shown in two separate areas of two drawings. Taken together and with Vans instruction, this is good enough for me.

In #2 - there are five rivets called out (AN426AD4-6 flush, countersunk) --- there is no clear side view of the components but another top down view in #3 shows the identical five rivets appearing to pass through the F-688 gusset, the flange of the F-606, and the aft end of the F-632C channel. In a previously referenced drawing (#32) the F=674 skin covers this same area, i.e., the same rivets. (shows AN426AD3-3.5 rivets for the skin - typcial, ignoring the larger rivets.)

I wish I'd fabricated the F-632B angle slightly wider, it's not too late. This would ensure the edge distance requirement for the outermost rivets (L&R). I didn't drilled the F-632C channel yet. The five holes in the F-674, F-688, and F-606 must be enlarged to accomodate the larger diameter AD4 rivets. The shim adds room for the plexi.

NOTE: The center FIVE holes on the fwd edge of the F-674 (including F-688 gusset, F-606 bulkhead flange, and F-632B angle should be match drilled in-place.) Should be on the plans View D-D, and View H-H, to resolve this issue.

Another consideration is sufficient space for the rear plexi window between F-674 skin and F-632C channel. IMPORTANT - I should have trimmed off the forward edge of the F-632B angle to allow the aft edge of the plexi under the skin, instead of trimming the plexi.
