Have almost all the pieces now to construct the -7A configuration for the Fuel Injection components (Pump & Filter) bracket & covers. Also now have the -7A fuel selector housing, and selector plate. Of course, being an RV-6A makes the actual 'fittling' process more complex at this point. For example, the side-side distance is exactly the same for the tunnel cover as the angle on the floor, meaning that the cover neither fits IN or OUT of the angle., and probably will be inside on the Right and outside on the Left.
It's not a perfect world. So I'll mark, measure, mark, measure, measure again, and cut long to allow room to trim more to fit later. The missing piece is the small cover which would normally cover the standard electric fuel pump for a carburetor equiped plane. Apparently the 'kit' doesn't include that cover, and I need to find the P/N and order it separately.
I reviewed the plans with the kit, and Dwg #36A, but conclude the attachment of the fuel selector brackets to the front of the spar will be problematic, and require a good fitting faux spar, or the wings inserted. And the top of the fuel selector plate does not cleanly attach to the fwd seat floor. Finally, the 'manual trim' looks like a REAL difficult cable routing task. Working carefully through the issues. One component (two pieces) that won't be used in the -6A is the F-983A L&R - due to spar differences.
