Brief Description: Canopy flashing and general stuff
Today was one of those days where I did lots of stuff, tidying up the front fuselage area, pulling rivets in the fuselage side skins etc. but when you look at the photo's there is not much evident in the way of progress in the photo's. What did I really achieve today, well I installed the side flashing on both sides of the canopy rail, plus the handles to open and close the canopy, there is qutie a gap between the canopy rail and the bottom fuselage longerons, I hope that some gap sealing tape will do the job here. I am still scratching my head about how the flashing at sides of the caonpy ties in with the front flashing around the firewall, but I guess it will become obvious at some point. The next steps involve the installation of the latch mechanism and the covers to hide the latch and the canopy frame inside the fuselage, should be fun...
