This morning before heading out for the day, I stretched the inside cover for the bottom canopy rail as suggested in the assembly guides, this works quite well and a little pressure while tapping the flange with a hammer makes it bend quite nicely. I then crimped the inside L angle and back drilled and clecoed the top to the side cover, in the photo you can see that the front of the cover still needs to be trimed further to fit the canopy and to also not intefer with side of the instrument panel.
