Brief Description:  Finishing left aileron

The left aileron was disassembled, deburred, dimpled, the hinge was counter sunk, also marked and drilled the aileron control horn using the first aileron as a template. After this the mating surfaces where coated with Cortec corrosion inhibiter, once dry I re-assembled the aileron and riveted the top and bottom skins, very much the same as the right aileron. I did not bother to take any photo's as they would have been identical to the right aileron. In image 1 you can see the two completed ailerons taped together for storage. I realise that I still need to mount the aileron trim servo, but I fugure I will do this in-between building the first and second wing. My friend Clive called today to say that his Zodiac kit will be delivered this Friday the 17th of Feb, which works out well because he has the day off.
