Brief Description:  Bending Fuel sender arm and drilling hole in fuel

I started the afternoon by drawing the bending diagram for the fuel sender float arm, this is necessary because the fuel sender now mounts on the side of the tank rather then the top of the tank as in previous installations. The bending diagram ensures that the float arm does not hit the top or bottom of the tank, yet still ensures that you get a good indication of available fuel. I used the recommended method to bend the float arm, its fairly easy to bend using a pair of pliers. I then overlayed the bending diagram on the tank to find the best position for the sender to ensure a full range of movement. I also oriented the sender with an empty and full mark so that I install it the right way around. You do this using a multi-meter, Empty = 70 ohms and Full = 10 ohms. The tollerance required for the sender hole is stupidly small, the hole needs to be exacty 59mm...sigh a little bit of sanding to do to bring from 57mm to 59mm otherwise you can't install the mounting bracket screws.
