Brief Description:  Welding the fuel tanks

Started welding the tanks with 4043 rod. Use stainless wire brush before each arc strike. Filler flange and some tacking was done by the guy I contracted, he couldn't get to it so I sought out a way to get it done. Bob Hunt my EAA Tech Counslor has a miller syncrowave 200 with Pulse and Balance. I took some test pieces but really didn't need them. The 3.25 reading rlasses help me see the small work better. Only using about 28 amps welding the .032 6061-T6 Got it all tacked up and both ends and the drain welded tonight on one tank. The welding is mostly fusing the metals together, only have to add filler rod when it get out of control.
