With my brother here visiting from Belgium I have not had too much time the last few days to spend on the Sonex, however they left yesterday to visit Tasmania for a couple of days so today I had the opportunity to make some progress on my left wing. I was able to completely drill and cleco the lower aft skin in place, a very productive session. As you can see from the pictures the hinge pins used to make sure there is no twist in the wing are still perfectly centered on the tooling holes on both sides of the wing.
I've got one more day tomorrow before my brother gets back and my parents also arrive, I'm hoping I can finish the rib #9 attachment to the lower skin before that, then it will be little or no progress for a few weeks till they leave, who knows maybe dad and I will do some work on the Sonex together during that period, we did make the very first part together 4 years ago when he was visiting...
