I'm finishing off a few details on the cowling I had left to do before I can start painting it. One was the lips of the front openings, they needed to be trimmed as per the AeroVee manual. At the time I just cut these open roughly, now they needed to be trimmed to size, quite a bit of the lips is trimmed here, little remains. The other thing I needed to do was close a gap I have between the upper left and right side of the cowling when installed, this gap is above the oil cooler inlet. About 1mm of fibreglass needed to be added. Now all that's left to do is sand it and I can then start priming.
