With the wiring work done as much I as I can without having the fuel tank installed, I started working on the fuel system today. I first drilled the 1" hole for the fuel like to come through the firewall. Many people have deviated from the plans here but I will stick to them here and just use a grommet to lead a 3/8" 5052 aluminium tube through the firewall to the gascolator. I then made a bracket to attach the gascolator to the firewall, since Sonex now recommends the Usher gascolator as opposed to the A/S gascolator called out for in the plans, the bracket is not quite the same as per the plans.
