I've started making the battery box. Well, box, mine's not really a box. I decided on a lightweight 16 cell Evo2 lithium ion battery from ballistic performance, http://www.ballisticparts.com/products/batteries/16cell.php, it only weighs 3.5 lbs! I copied the idea from Peter Henry, another Aussie builder. He also posted some good pictures of what he made to hang the battery on the firewall, As you can see in the picture, I'm copying his design exactly.
