I primed the other sides of the brake and flap handle parts today, they’re now ready for installation.
I also started thinking about the brake cable pulley system attached to the brake handle, the pulley ensures equal brake application on the left and right brake at all time. As per plans the pulley is attached to the brake handle with a pulley link made out of 1/2" square aluminium bar, the problem with this in my view is that it is not a very flexible system, there is no easy way to adjust the tension of the brake system. After a bit of digging around at our local hardware store I came up with an adjustable system, I will replace the pulley link with a bottle screw, the pulley (screen door roller) I found fits perfectly on the bottle screw. This system will allow me to easily adjust the brake cable tension from inside the cockpit if required.
