Tonight I had my second go at installing the rudder pedals with more success this time. I started off by removing the powder coating where the phenolic blocks go as John Monett explains in this video: http://www.eaavideo.org/video.aspx?v=61439759001 I did not use a blow torch however, I just used paint stripper, very effective, just put a good layer on, wait a few minutes and then scrub off the powder coating with a scotchbrite pad. Installing the pedals after this was a much easier process and they now move smoothly. Finally I put the glareshield and instrument panel back in place for no other reason than just because I think it looks good :-).
