After completing the forward fuselage today I got on straight to the next section, the cabin.
I already have most parts on the F10 drawings made from when I was doing all the angle stock, I still need to make some of the bigger parts, also some need to be re-made as I'm now building the lowered seat modification which was not intended initially.
First off the F10-01 angle, I had this part already made as well, however the cutout for the elevator pushrod is offset to the side, this needs to go in the middle for the lowered seat modification, I could completely remake the part but it seems there is no harm in just making a second cutout in the right place, this part will not visible and sits tight against a strong piece of 1x1x.125 angle so no structural issues either.
About that angle this one had to be made as well, the plans call out to make this angle from Z02-03 stock but a later revision tells us to make it out of 1x1x.125 angle as some people had issues with the seats collapsing.
I did not have any 1x1x.125 angle left (no pieces long enough anyway) but I did have plenty if 1.5x1.5x.125 angle so rather than ordering a new piece of angle I decided to cut the legs of the 1.5x1.5x.125 angle to 1" on the bandsaw,
Done, easy, I now have a piece of 1x1x.125 angle.
