Another week of doing nothing (on the plane that is), just have too many other things on for th moment but I should be able to get back into it fairly soon. Last night I did manage to start fitting the rudder, before I drill the V-Tail to the H-Tail I want to make sure the rudder fits perfectly and everything is horizontal. While fitting the rudder I noticed there is some interference in movement between the rudder horn and rudder stop plates, again this is not uncommon, all that needs to be done is file away a little material from the rudder horn, Also the plans call out for CCC-46 rivets on the stop plates but most people use CCP-46 rivets as the CCC's are not included in the Sonex rivet kit. this just means that you have to file away a small half moon in the rudder horn so there is no interference with the rivet head.
