I finally received the 0.025" aluminium sheet I ordered earlier this week so I could start on the turtledeck skin. I drew the skin in AutoCAD and used the large plotter we have at work to plot it. I took me a couple of days to get it right, I found on a long drawing like this our plotter seems to have a 0.45% error which I had to correct for. Once I finally got the drawing right I spray glued it onto the aluminium and cutted it out with my snips. Next I'll need to drill all the pilot holes and then I can use this skin as a template for the second one.
