I pulled my first rivets tonight. I had my neighbour, who is also my SAAA technical councillor (quite handy), come over to check out the few practice rivets I had first pulled in a piece of scrap aluminium to find the ideal PSI setting for my pneumatic rivet gun. Seems around 40 PSI is the best setting for my gun. My TC was happy with what he saw and so we went on and pulled the first rivets of the project on the H-Stab forward spar assembly. Actually nothing to it, it seems the riveting goes quite fast compared to all the preparation that has to be done beforehand.
