Was making good progress riveting the floor frame until I discovered a factory quality issue. One of the seat ribs did not line up with the others, it was approximatly 1/8 inch further forward than the other five. It was short of the rear carry thru spar. After an hour of trying to figure out whay could cause this (everything else on the kit fits extremley well). I found that the angle that is factory riveted to the rear main carry thru assembly is backwards. The legs of this angle are not symetrical so when the rib is attached, it is too far forward and off set the one side. I will call Rans tomorrow to see what needs to be done. At a minimum the spar carry thru cover will have to be removed to access the driven rivets. While I have the equipment to install AN rivets I am not sure my rivet gun will handle the larger rivets.
