Brief Description:  Purchased partially completed wing kit

Today was a milestone day! After almost two years of saving, spending what I saved on other stuff, saving some more, etc.....I finally took the plunge and bought a partially completed set of wings for the RV-7. I bought them from Randy in St Charles, IL and I think we both came away from the deal feeling happy, that is the way it is supposed to be I guess.

Gerry R went along with me and gave his expert opinion on the work completed so far and said they looked great. The tanks and leading edges are complete and most of the skins are dimpled and ready to rivet. There is a lot of misc work left like building the ailerons, flaps, mounting the pitot tube, landing, position, and navigation lights; angle of attack sensor, auto pilot servo mount, etc, etc.

It took a load with the Tahoe as shown in image 2 and other load for the spars, ribs and misc stuff in Gerry's full size van. Gerry, thanks again for your help and support with the project!

Someday it will be an airplane that hopefully we both can enjoy along with the freedom and experiences it will allow us to share.

As happy as this day was, a good friend of mine unknowingly passed away that same day. Tony Richardson was a special person, the kind of guy you meet and makes a special impression on you that you remember for the rest of your life. Tony was special in many ways from his kind demeanor, sense of humor, and his unassuming personality. Tony was highly respected throughout the Texas hot rod community and was a true craftsman and artist rolled into o
